Our route begins, as it should, at its Fishing and Sports Port. The clinking of masts and the smell of sea salt welcome us. Donning espadrilles to stroll along the promenade, while local fishermen moor their boats after a day at sea, is to fully immerse oneself in the calm of Mediterranean life.
From the port, the town's streets naturally guide us to its restaurants, where rice is king. Sitting down to enjoy the local gastronomy after a good walk, feeling the texture of the natural fibers of your espadrilles under your feet, is the true meaning of well-being.
Among dunes, flamingos, and the Delta's calm
But if there's one thing that makes L'Ampolla special, it's that it's the starting point for the Ebro Delta Natural Park. You just need to adjust the straps of your espadrilles to venture into the Bassa de les Olles. This protected area is a true spectacle for the senses: a flat, tranquil path surrounded by lagoons where flamingos and other aquatic birds are often seen.
